A significant milestone was achieved on January 21, 2025, as the Infanta Credit and Development Cooperative (ICDeC) and the Binonoan Producers Cooperative (BIPCO) officially signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) for the KOOP KAPATID Program. The program aims to foster collaboration, provide support, and strengthen ties between cooperatives to enhance their operations and uphold the spirit of mutual cooperation.

The event was spearheaded by the Cooperative Development Authority (CDA), led by CDA Region IV-A Regional Director Salvador V. Valeroso and Senior Cooperative Development Specialist Romel Mabilangan.

Representatives from BIPCO’s Board of Directors, chaired by Ryan Peñamante, and ICDeC’s Board of Directors and Management, represented by BOD Vice-chairperson Dir. Iona Marie V. Establecida and Chief Executive Officer Ms. Annalyn R. Rutaquio, also graced the occasion.

Under the program, ICDeC will extend knowledge-sharing and technical support to BIPCO, facilitated by its Communication and Compliance Department, led by Ms. May Avellaneda. Through this initiative, ICDeC aims to open new opportunities for the growth and development of their partner cooperative.

“This partnership underscores ICDeC’s commitment not only to the individual progress of its members but also to the collective advancement of the community and fellow cooperatives,” remarked Ms. Rutaquio.

The KOOP KAPATID Program is a testament to the shared vision of ICDeC and CDA in promoting the principles of cooperation and mutual support. ICDeC remains steadfast in its mission to be a reliable partner in realizing the goals of the KOOP KAPATID Program and driving sustainable development across cooperatives.
